Caring for Colorado awarded 94 grants totaling $6,289,602 for projects and programs throughout Colorado in 2016. These programs and projects are aligned with Caring for Colorado's funding priorities of Community Health, Health Children and Youth, Mental Health, and Oral Health.
The Packard Foundation Fund for Pueblo recently awarded $265,000 in grants to nine nonprofits doing work in Pueblo. The grant awards focus on prevention of and intervention in child abuse and neglect; environmental education; local arts, history, and culture; early childcare; and support for those with disabilities. The Caring for Colorado Foundation Board of Directors recently awarded more than $3.2 million in grants to 48 nonprofit organizations throughout Colorado. The grant awards support Caring for Colorado’s funding priorities of community health, healthy children and youth, mental health and oral health projects. On Dec. 9, the Community College of Denver (CCD) Dental Hygiene School graduated the first class of its new Interim Therapeutic Restorations (ITR) continuing education course, a requirement of Colorado’s ITR permit process.
