The Caring for Colorado Foundation recently awarded nearly $3 million in grant funds to 62 nonprofit organizations statewide to help support access to health care for underserved populations across the state.

Two of the grants directly impact Phillips County residents.

Baby Bear Hugs, which serves Phillips, Logan, Morgan, Sedgwick, Washington and Yuma counties, received $76,209 for their nurse-family partnership implementation. Funds will be used to implement an evidence-based nurse home visitation program in the six counties in northeastern Colorado.
