DENVER - On March, 20, 2015, Governor John Hickenlooper confirmed three new appointments and two reappointments to the Caring for Colorado Foundation Board of Directors.
Joining the Board are Carl Clark, MD, Paul Major, and An Nguyen, MPH, DDS. Clark is the president/CEO of the Mental Health Center of Denver and the current board chair of the Colorado Behavioral Health Care Council. Major will be joining the board from southwest Colorado where he is the president/CEO of the Telluride Foundation, the largest grantmaker on the western slope. Nguyen has been a practicing dentist and community health supporter in Colorado for many years. Currently she is the vice-president of dental services at Clinica Family Health Services, serving Adams and Boulder County.
Continuing their tenure with the board are Jo Ann Pegues from Denver and Christy Whitney from Grand Junction. Whitney is the current President/CEO of HopeWest, a hospice, palliative care and grief support organization in Grand Junction and Pegues is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 30 years of health experience through her federal service.

They will also continue to the tradition of excellence that has characterized the Foundation’s Board since its inception”, said Foundation President and CEO, Chris Wiant.
Caring for Colorado Foundation is a health grantmaker serving the state of Colorado since 2001. The foundation is committed to improving health systems, focusing on population health and prevention and working to solve the most pressing health needs of vulnerable and underserved populations in the state. The Foundation has awarded nearly $90 million in grants since inception.
