Executive Assistant/Office Administrator
Anna Loewen joined Caring for Colorado Foundation as executive assistant and office administrator in February, 2016. Prior to joining the Foundation, Anna was the executive assistant to the CEO of the Denver Post followed by two years as the executive administrator in the Office of the President at Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Before applying her skills in the executive support roles, Anna served as Program Manager for the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation (DMCLF) and managed the DMCLF’s senior-executive-level leadership programs, including the City-to-City Leadership Exchange, Access Denver, and Legacy Denver.
Anna is enjoying her return to the non-profit sector, and specifically, to an organization dedicated to improving the health and health care of the people of Colorado. From 1998 – 2005, Anna was a program coordinator at the Colorado Community Health Network (CCHN). While at CCHN, Anna primarily worked on clinical quality initiatives, including a breast-cancer screening project for uninsured women, a program to increase access to specialty care for the medically underserved and an immunization initiative.
Anna earned her bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, with a focus on Latin America, from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Following her graduation, Anna spent a year teaching English in a public elementary school in Ciudad Neily, Costa Rica.
