Who We Are
Katina joined Caring for Colorado in 2017 after spending a decade in public health and health services research. As a program lead, she combines her public health experience with a curiosity about the lives of individuals and families in communities across Colorado. Her favorite part of the job is building relationships with Coloradans and learning about their ideas to create opportunities in their communities.
In her previous role, Katina worked as a project manager at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus managing research and evaluation projects and health services research training programs. Katina has also worked in the nonprofit sector in organizations addressing domestic violence and affordable housing. She holds a master’s degree in sociology from New Mexico State University and a bachelor’s degree in English, Spanish and sociology from Ohio Wesleyan University.
Katina has lived in six states and innumerable homes, and she is very happy to have landed in Colorado. She enjoys hiking, skiing, reading and tending an unruly garden, and she has never met a live sporting event she didn’t enjoy. After any activity in any season, you can find her enjoying a patio with her husband and dogs.
