Sam Espinoza, MSW

Statewide Philanthropy Lead, Strong and Resilient Families

Sam worked at the Colorado Children’s Campaign as the senior policy analyst for health equity before joining Caring for Colorado in 2022. She is a military veteran whose professional experience is grounded in research, advocacy, and supporting children who face adversity. Before moving to Denver to pursue her master’s in social work, Sam received her bachelor’s degree in sociology and worked as a tutor, specializing in teaching students with behavioral challenges. She also worked as a case manager for high school seniors facing barriers to graduation during the first year of her MSW program. Sam’s values are grounded in equity and elevating the voices of people and communities facing the most barriers to opportunity.
