Changes to the Statewide Funding Cycle

Last week Caring for Colorado announced the kick-off of a new strategic planning process. As we enter the final year of our existing strategic plan, we are committed to providing grant funding as we develop a strategic roadmap to direct the next phase of our work. However, there is a change to our upcoming grant cycle.

The 2024 funding opportunity for Caring for Colorado’s Healthy Beginnings, Healthy Youth, and Strong & Resilient Families focus areas will only be open to organizations that received funding in our 2023 grant cycle. Eligible organizations will receive direct communication from foundation staff, along with the information needed to submit a renewal application.

This decision was not made lightly. Our team determined it was critical to prioritize the work of our current grantees in the last year of our existing strategic plan. To do so requires our full annual grantmaking allocation. We acknowledge the unintended consequences for organizations seeking funding and understand this disappointing news.
