At Caring for Colorado, we strive to fill gaps and work with others to address today’s needs while also building stronger, more equitable systems. In October we will announce new funding opportunities focused on improving the health and well-being of young people ages 9 through 25 and their families.
This past year, as we concluded a five-year strategic plan and knowing our work would change starting this fall, we offered renewal funding for existing grantee organizations in the Healthy Beginnings, Healthy Youth, and Strong & Resilient Families focus areas as well as for the Packard Fund for Pueblo’s Children, Youth, and Families focus area.
More than $5M awarded for our Healthy Beginnings, Healthy Youth, and Strong & Resilient Families focus areas
Ninety-four grants totaling $5.2 million were awarded to nonprofit organizations across Colorado in three areas of focus: Healthy Beginnings, Healthy Youth, and Strong & Resilient Families. Excluding the grantees with a statewide reach, organizations funded operate from 24 counties and serve communities in 61 counties. $378K awarded in Pueblo placed-based grants for Children, Youth, and Families
The Sperry S. and Ella Graber Packard Fund for Pueblo awarded $378,000 in grants to 12 organizations to support efforts to improve the quality of life in Pueblo County. In the final year of the 2019-2024 Packard Fund for Pueblo strategic plan, the advisory board chose to prioritize current grantees and implement a renewal application process instead of an open funding opportunity.
Grants were awarded to organizations that had two or more years of consecutive funding starting in 2022. Read more about the 2024 Packard Fund for Pueblo grantees.
