Amy Maillet

Strategic Communications Director

Pronouns: she/her

Amy is responsible for leading and implementing a comprehensive, strategic communications plan for Caring for Colorado and its initiatives. In this role, she works cross-functionally to facilitate all internal and external communications to ensure brand alignment.

Before working for Caring for Colorado, Amy provided a range of content creation services for more than 20 years, most recently as a consultant. Prior to that, she was the communications manager leading Delta Dental of Colorado’s foundation and corporate social responsibility work.

Her professional experience includes brand development and management, writing and editing, data metrics and design, and stakeholder engagement. Throughout her career, Amy has contributed on multifunctional teams, mostly in private and nonprofit settings.

Amy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from the University of Arizona. She has also volunteered on the Denver Scholarship Foundation Associate Board, the Institute for Leaders in Development Steering Committee, and with the Denver Public Library.

Born in Colorado, Amy enjoys working with mission-minded organizations and is passionate about contributing to positive social change and improving opportunities for kids to thrive. When she’s not working, Amy writes, gardens, and goes on outdoor adventures with her family.

Amy’s favorite place in Colorado is the Gunnison Valley. She thinks it’s what people imagine Colorado to be if they’ve never visited and don’t know all four corners of the state are so dynamic.

“If I could tell my younger self one thing to inspire hope, it would be that there are so many great experiences and people you haven’t met yet; take care of yourself and go find the adventures you want to have.”
