Emma currently serves as grants manager for Caring for Colorado. In this role, she is responsible for leading Caring for Colorado’s grantmaking processes and systems to ensure the organization effectively meets its grantmaking goals.
Emma has held various roles at Caring for Colorado since joining in 2019. Previously, she worked in refugee resettlement, ensuring Colorado’s newly arrived residents had access to housing and social supports needed to adjust to their new communities.
Emma has a degree in public health science from Santa Clara University. She is passionate about health policy, mental health, and adolescent health and development. Outside of work, Emma enjoys traveling, live music and sports, reading, volunteering, laughing with friends and family, and relaxing at home with her cat, Poppy.
Emma’s favorite television show as a teen was “Criminal Minds.”
Emma’s favorite place in Colorado is Glenwood Springs/Palisade.
“If I could tell my younger self one thing to inspire hope, it would be that life is hard, it gets easy, then it gets hard again, but then it gets easy again — it’s a cycle. Don’t compare yourself to others; your journey is your journey.”
