Reproductive Health Equity Initiatives Awards $2.7 Million in Grants
Since 2023, Caring for Colorado has worked to expand access to person-centered contraceptive care at safety net health clinics throughout Colorado. Using two different, yet complementary, funding strategies, our goal has been to ensure that contraceptive care is available, affordable, confidential, and delivered in culturally responsive ways within high-need and underserved communities across the state.
We believe that when individuals of reproductive age have access to the contraceptives of their choice, they can better realize their future goals, resulting in improved health outcomes for Colorado communities.
ReproCollab and Choose When are the two programs Caring for Colorado implements to improve access to contraceptive care.

ReproCollab works with clinical quality improvement specialists, who work directly with safety net clinics to improve their systems, policies, provider training, and data tracking to ensure that high-quality contraceptive care is a fully integrated service within their clinic and delivered in a manner that is culturally responsive, affordable, confidential, and timely.
$2,080,000 was awarded to 17 organizations under ReproCollab’s Protect and Expand Contraceptive Access funding strategy. See the full list of funded organizations here.

Choose When provides funding to health clinics to purchase and stock all methods of contraception so patients with financial barriers can access the contraceptive method that works best for them. Choose When is working to bring down the financial barrier to contraception, especially for the most expensive methods.
$717,500 was awarded to 25 organizations for Choose When.See the full list of funded organizations here.
Working together, Choose When and ReproCollab are improving access to person-centered contraceptive care across Colorado so that every person can make the best choices for themselves and their families.

Part 1 Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
